Chuo Line Beer Works says seasonal Poppoya Ale cans are nearing the end of sales
On June 3, Chuo Line Beer Works announced on Instagram that cans of its seasonal Poppoya Ale are close to selling out. Sales will end once stock runs out at the taproom and participating retail stores, while draft service continues.
On June 3, Chuo Line Beer Works posted an update on Instagram saying that cans of its seasonal beer, Poppoya Ale, are down to the last few units for this season. The brewery said sales will end once stock is gone, both at the taproom and at participating retail shops, and encouraged customers who want cans for home to buy them soon.
Poppoya Ale is a pale ale brewed with hops partly grown by employees at stations and station buildings along the Chuo and Nambu Lines. The brewery’s official site describes it as a beer with a fruity hop aroma followed by a soft, fresh-hop finish. It is a seasonal release, so the canned version is only available for a limited period.
Chuo Line Beer Works is located under the JR Chuo Line elevated tracks in Koganei, Tokyo. The brewery is run by former station staff turned brewers, and its concept is to share the appeal of the region through beer. In this latest notice, the taproom remains open for draft pours even as the canned version approaches the end of its run, giving drinkers a choice between enjoying it at home or at the counter while it lasts.
