The standing beer pub Tachinomi Beron, located in Omachi, Aoba Ward, Sendai, introduced a new release from its original beer project on Instagram. With a counter-centered layout and a kitchen placed in the middle, the shop has an easygoing atmosphere that works for a quick drink, a pre-party stop, or a second round. It is also easy to drop in for daytime drinking, making it a good choice when you want to casually enjoy craft beer.

The post featured the third installment in Beron and “Kankan”’s original beer series, “Kankan Jun'en.” To celebrate Beron’s 2nd anniversary, three beers are being released at once, and this time “Oolong Tea Kinmugi Beer” is the main highlight.

This beer is a collaboration with ISHINOMAKI HOP WORKS in Ishinomaki, Miyagi Prefecture, and the popular ramen shop Yamaroku in Onagawa. Built on a golden ale base, it incorporates fresh hops from Ishinomaki as well as Yamaroku’s special black oolong tea leaves. The alcohol content is 5.0%. After a light, refreshing sip, it is said to leave a toasty aftertaste derived from the oolong tea.

The post also mentioned previous entries in the series, “Beron Hazy,” made with BREW BEAST in Hanamaki, and “Kankan JUICY,” made with OUR BREWING in Fukui, showing how the project has built collaborations across regions. The combination of a standing bar’s easygoing mobility and a concept that connects breweries from different places. Beer lovers won’t want to miss the way those two elements come together.

Including the background of a joint brew with a ramen shop, this is a beer whose pairing with food is easy to imagine. It adds the appeal of a place to drink craft beer in Sendai to the interest of limited brewing and collaboration.
