Imabari Machinaka Bakushu in Imabari, Ehime, has received an award at the International Beer Cup 2026. The brewery announced the achievement on its official Instagram account, describing the award as recognition from the recently held competition.

The post does not currently specify the winning beer, category, or award level. Even so, recognition at an international beer competition is an important milestone for a small regional brewery and highlights the continuing attention around Imabari Machinaka Bakushu’s brewing work.

Imabari Machinaka Bakushu operates as a brewpub near the Imabari Ginza shopping district and Dondobi intersection. Its brewhouse and taproom are located together, allowing guests to enjoy fresh beer close to where it is made. According to the brewery’s official website, the taproom can serve up to eight beers, with tasting sets, takeout, and beer by the measure also available.

The brewery has also developed beers featuring local character, including citrus-inspired releases from Ehime. Its limited “Mango Hazy Pale Ale” won gold at the International Beer Cup 2023, while beers such as “Harehime Hazy IPA” have added to its record at previous competitions.

The 2026 award adds another chapter to the brewery’s growing competition history. Beer drinkers will be watching for further information about the winning beer and looking forward to seeing how it appears on the tap list at Imabari Machinaka Bakushu.
