The restaurant is known for serving Aomori and Hachinohe dishes and local sake in Asagaya. In that setting, the new beer notice extends its usual regional focus into craft beer.
Kaneku Jyozo is based in Nango, Hachinohe, Aomori. The brewery says it was inspired by a Weizen first encountered in Germany in 2011 and was founded to make locally rooted craft beer. On its official site, `Weizen` is described as a soft wheat beer, `Golden Lite Ale` as a light ale brewed with Aomori-grown rice and Cascade/Sabro hops, `Hazy IPA` as a tropical, hop-forward beer, and `Citrus Paradisi` as a grapefruit-peel-based seasonal beer. The latest stock update gives Asagaya drinkers another chance to pair Hachinohe beer with northern Japan's food culture.
