KANEKU Brewery to Release 'Slow Days Wheat' on August 1
KANEKU Brewery in Hachinohe, Aomori, will tap its new collaboration wheat beer, Slow Days Wheat, on August 1 at its direct-run taproom Denno Bakushu Maomao. The beer was brewed for the Slow Days BBQ Party, which is being held over two days, August 1 and 2.
KANEKU Brewery is based in Nango, Hachinohe, Aomori, and launched in 2020. Known for its cat-themed logo, the brewery has also used its direct-run taproom, Denno Bakushu Maomao, to bring its beers closer to local drinkers.
The latest Instagram post announces Slow Days Wheat, a new wheat beer brewed for the collaboration event Slow Days BBQ Party. According to the post, the beer will go on tap on August 1, and the event itself will run on August 1 and 2. The beer is described as a crisp, easy-drinking weizen with a faint orange note on the finish, while keeping bitterness and heaviness low.
At Denno Bakushu Maomao, the beer is being positioned alongside food such as charcoal-grilled jerk chicken and mala-style dishes from Shuhan Sawazu. It fits neatly into KANEKU's approachable brewing style and should work well as a summer drinking beer in Hachinohe.
