At the Ikebukuro East Exit beer pub "vivo! BEER+DININGBAR," a 16th anniversary event will be held from `Wednesday, April 22` to `Sunday, April 26`. With 20 draft beers on tap, the anniversary week will center on beer and showcase the shop’s character clearly through its lineup.

The highlight is the original beer `16 (sixteen)`, brewed for them by `CYCAD BREWING`. Pre-launched on April 16, this beer balances a restrained malt character with orange-like notes and finishes dry. Its name also pairs with the shop’s house beer `42 (forty two)`, making it a symbol of the anniversary milestone.

During the anniversary event, in addition to the two original beers, rare beers from breweries the shop has long worked with will also be featured. For example, there will be a broad selection ranging from aromatic IPAs to rich stouts, including `Ushitora Brewery Miyashita Park IPA`, `Minoh Beer BATON 007`, `Left Hand Peanut Butter Milk Stout`, and `Oni Densetsu Kinki Pale Ale`. For craft beer fans, the appeal is in comparing the different flavor directions side by side.

On the food side, the seasonal menu includes `zucchini, snap pea, and turnip marinated in white balsamic`, `oysters and okra marinated in oil`, `pizza with whitebait and sakura shrimp`, and `pork tenderloin grilled with herb butter`. With house-made crispy-crust pizza and meat dishes that pair well with beer, it is easy to enjoy the tap lineup together with the food.

The shop will be closed on `Tuesday, April 21`, so visiting from the event’s first day, `April 22`, onward seems best. This is an anniversary event that suits a day in Ikebukuro when you want to drink well and eat well.
