Tap Update

Beer&Cafe Hafen, a beer pub in Esaka, Osaka, posted its latest tap list on Instagram. The featured new opening is Shiga Kogen Beer’s Miyama Blond. The brewery describes it as a flagship beer inspired by Belgian saison, brewed with homegrown sake rice and the Shinshu-wase hop.

According to the post, the beer is defined by a crisp finish, pronounced hop character, subtle sweetness, and a refreshing drinkability that does not make the alcohol feel heavy. It is the kind of beer that reminds drinkers why Shiga Kogen’s classics are so often sought out.

The day’s `Today Taps beer` lineup also included Minoh Beer’s Peach Weizen (Early Maturing Ver.) and Miyazaki Hidetoshi Beer’s Ninchinan Lemon Fresh-Squeezed Session Hazy IPA. Together, the taps lean fruity and bright, making them an easy match for the summer season.

Looking ahead, `Next stock` features Sankt Gallen’s Super Shonan Gold and NOMCRAFT BREWING’s Passion Magic. The rotation suggests a steady flow of fresh choices for regulars who like to follow what is coming next.

Food-wise, the shop also highlighted a Guinness-made cheese, described as a cheddar-based item with a beer-like depth and acidity. Another seasonal snack was goat cheese sourced from Mirasaka in Miyoshi, adding a more distinctive pairing option for beer drinkers.

Beer&Cafe Hafen is a compact beer pub, so parties of three or more are by reservation only. The shop also notes that it may close once last orders end at 22:00 if no guests are present. Checking social media before visiting is recommended.
