CraftBeerSpot Hathor, a beer pub in Osaka's Kyobashi area, refreshed its draft lineup on June 17. The standout pour is "Nekojima" from Isekadoya Beer, a Hazy Double IPA brewed in collaboration with Pomona Island in Manchester, UK, and finished with yuzu.

According to the brewery description, the beer uses a yeast strain associated with London and is built to balance bright yuzu aromatics with hop-driven citrus and mango notes. The base beer is intentionally a little sweeter, with the recipe tuned so the peel-like bitterness and astringency of yuzu do not linger. The result is a layered but well-integrated hazy IPA.

The recommended beers also include Ushitora Brewery's "With Raspberries" and Stone's "Live Current IPA." The former is a fruit ale packed with fresh raspberries, leaning light and crisp with an easy tart edge. The latter brings peach, citrus, and dank hop character together in a single IPA for drinkers who want a more hop-forward pint.

The rest of the board is equally varied: Firestone Walker's "SunGlider," Sapporo Beer's "Black Label," Y.Market's "Hopping Shachi," Repubrew's "Momoka to Kyoko no Duet Weizen," Minoh Beer's "Grapefruit Sour" and "Kozaru IPA Real Ale Ver," Shigakogen Beer's "Snow Monkey Silver Label Ver," Uchu Brewing's "Pleiades," and Left Hand's "Milk Stout Nitro Ver." With 16 taps on offer and house-smoked food on the side, Hathor is set up for tasting across lager, sour, IPA, fruit beer, and stout in one stop.
