Hotel Nikko Tsukuba will hold "Terroir of Tsukuba Sake 2026: Makers Dinner, Tsukuba Brewery Edition" on August 8. The event will take place at Restaurant Serina on the second floor of the hotel’s main building, with capacity limited to 30 guests. After check-in at 2:15 p.m. in the hotel lobby, participants will head to Tsukuba Brewery in the foothills of Mt. Tsukuba for a brewery tour.

Tsukuba Brewery opened in 2020 as Tsukuba City’s first craft brewery. In spring 2024, it added a new facility dedicated to brewing with natural water from Mt. Tsukuba, strengthening its focus on ingredients, water quality, and brewing methods. The brewery has built its identity around expressing the character of the region in each beer.

The dinner portion of the program will feature a five-course French meal paired with five craft beers, each served in 100 ml pours. On the way back to the hotel, guests will also stop at Tsukuba Ham’s direct-sales shop, Jinya, adding another local food stop to the itinerary.

Tsukuba Brewery brewer Takayuki Nobu-toki and beer navigator Hiro Hop will join the evening to talk about brewing and pairing from the producer’s perspective. The fee is 15,500 yen, with non-alcoholic and overnight package options also available.
