Tsukuba Brewery to Pour Kinnoshime IPA at Tsukuba Craft Beer Fest 2026
Tsukuba Brewery will take part in Tsukuba Craft Beer Fest 2026, held from October 16 to 18 at Tsukuba Center Square. The brewery is featuring its Kinnoshime IPA and its move to the foothills of Mt. Tsukuba in 2024.
Tsukuba Brewery opened in 2020 as Tsukuba City’s first brewery. In 2024, it relocated its brewhouse to the foothills of Mt. Tsukuba, making the long-awaited use of Mt. Tsukuba’s natural water possible. The brewery is also experimenting with growing hops on site.
The main beer highlighted in the post is Kinnoshime IPA. It is described as having a grapefruit-like citrus impression up front, followed by subtle peach and mango aromas. The suggested food pairing is juicy meat dishes. The name also ties the beer to local history and place.
