At the brewery PEPOWN in Kyoei, Chigasaki City, Kanagawa Prefecture, the "JP Homecoming Baldys Tap Takeover" will take place from 12:00 on Saturday, March 28. What makes this lineup worth noting is that it’s not just a simple “many taps” event, but a seven-beer lineup designed around a deliberate range of flavors. Familiar drinkability and playful limited-edition design coexist here.

The day’s lineup includes Black Mamba (Dark Lager / 4.5%), I’M NOT MAD AT YOU (Amber Lager / 4.5%), THE TRUTH (IPA / 6.5%), Mish Mash (Session SMaSH IPA / 4.0%), ORANGEHILL (Saison w/Natsumikan / 4.5%), ACID PUNCH (Sour Ale / 5.0%), and KING WISH ABURA (IPA w/black oolong tea / 4.5%).

From lagers with the roasty aroma of kilned malt, to citrus and tropical hop expression, to recipes that incorporate Japanese ingredients such as summer mandarin orange and black oolong tea, the lineup is so varied it hardly feels like it comes from the same brewery. Among them, Black Mamba is scheduled to be served on PEPOWN’s signature LUKR tap, making it a beer worth experiencing down to the texture of its foam.

In addition to the Baldys team being on hand, authentic tacos are also planned for the food menu that day. One of PEPOWN’s charms is being able to drink at a local brewery near the station while hearing about the makers’ backgrounds and stories. In the atmosphere of Chigasaki, a tasting that works through all seven beers one by one is more than enough to qualify as a weekend beer plan worth making.
