Sun2Diner comes to PEPOWN

PEPOWN, a brewery in Chigasaki, Kanagawa, will host Sun2Diner’s “POP UP CHEF” on Wednesday, October 14, from 12:00 to 22:00. Food service begins at noon, and takeout will also be available.

The menu features two items. Chilli Cheese Quesadella is Sun2Diner’s take on the Mexican fast-food classic, with cheese, meat, and vegetables pressed inside a tortilla. It is designed to work well as a beer snack.

The second option is the Mac'n' Cheese Pulled Pork Burger, combining a 100% hand-formed beef patty with rich macaroni and cheese, smoky pulled pork, and jalapeño. The result is a substantial burger built around savory meat and cheese flavors.

Three beers for pairing

The beer lineup highlights lager-style selections during PEPOWN’s current lager-focused period. Yeedle, a 5.0% pils from Chigasaki’s Passific Brewing, offers a sharp profile and firm bitterness to refresh the palate after each bite.

Passific Brewing’s Polka, a 5.5% Oktoberfeest, brings a malty body that complements the charred aroma of the burger patty. For IPA fans, Tokyo-based Craftrock Brewing will provide Alternative IPA, a 6.0% American IPA with expressive aroma and a crisp, drinkable character.

Sun2Diner’s owner, Daisuke, trained as a Japanese cuisine chef before joining the burger restaurant FUNGO. He later opened Sun 2 Diner in Nakameguro and now operates primarily through a food truck. At PEPOWN, visitors can enjoy his California-inspired burgers with craft beer, either at the brewery or as takeout for a relaxed meal by the sea.
