Tyson Pizza pop-up at PEPOWN
PEPOWN, a brewery located in Chigasaki’s Tomoe district, will host a pop-up by Tyson Pizza on September 30, 2026, from 5:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. The pizza truck-style operation will serve freshly baked pizzas on site, with takeout also available.
Featured dishes include a limited seasonal pizza topped with figs and creamy cheese, as well as a Basque-style cheesecake pizza created in collaboration with My Home, a café in Kitao. The fig pizza combines the elegant sweetness of cooked figs with creamy, lightly salty cheese and a refreshing touch of mint. The dessert pizza uses My Home’s plain Basque-style cheesecake baked on pizza dough.
Three beers for pairing
The beer lineup covers three distinct styles:
- FUNCTION by Nara Brewing — American-Belgo-Style Ale, 6.0% ABV. Its dry saison-yeast character and balanced hop bitterness are recommended with spicy mustard greens and tomato-based pizzas.
- Hugs by Almanac — Hefe Weizen, 5.0% ABV. Soft wheat flavors and yeast-derived banana and clove notes are suggested with shirasu and cheese pizza.
- Alt by Uerige — Alt, 4.7% ABV. Roasted malt and hop bitterness provide a firm profile while remaining crisp and light enough for fig pizza or the cheesecake pizza.
Tyson Pizza also offers classics such as Margherita and Marinara, along with creative options featuring spicy mustard greens and sausage or Shonan shirasu. Its dough is made with domestic wheat from Kumamoto and Hokkaido and baked in an oven reaching approximately 400°C. At PEPOWN, guests can explore these pizzas alongside a varied craft beer selection for a relaxed Chigasaki evening.
