Event Overview

Yaho Brewing, based in Miyota Town, Nagano Prefecture, will hold the seminar event "Yona Yona Ale University: Craft Beer 101 - Five-Beer Comparison Class" at YONA YONA TOKYO BREWERY, in front of the atrium on B1F of Building A at Shinagawa Intercity. The event will be held twice, on Wednesday, April 22 and Wednesday, May 27. Each session runs from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., and attendance is limited to 12 people by advance reservation only.

Class Details

During the class, Yaho Brewing staff will explain while participants compare five representative beer styles in cans. Even if you know the names of craft beers, it can be hard to tell the differences, or to explain what you like. This format is designed to help you learn by organizing differences in aroma, bitterness, and body.

Company Background

Yaho Brewing is a brewery that has introduced craft beers with distinct personalities, including Yona Yona Ale. Based at its Miyota brewery, the company has also worked to broaden not just beer flavor, but how people enjoy it and what they know about it. This "Yona Yona Ale University" can be seen as a place to convey that attitude as an experiential event.

Key Points

The venue is set for weekday evenings, making it easy to stop by after work and convenient for people working in the Shinagawa area. Rather than being just a tasting session, it is characterized by helping participants learn the criteria for choosing beer. It should be a chance to systematically learn the differences in flavor for fans of Yona Yona Ale as well as readers who want to deepen their enjoyment of craft beer from here on out.

Reservations open on Monday, April 6 at 12:00 p.m. on a first-come, first-served basis. The participation fee is 2,750 yen per person (tax included).
