Peach at the center

Hansharo Beer Brewing’s new release, “Peach White IPA - Yumemizuki Ver.-,” is a limited beer made with fully ripe white peaches selected by Saito Fruits, a produce specialist in Mishima, Shizuoka. To highlight the peach’s gentle fruit character, the brewery chose a White IPA base with wheat for a smooth, soft mouthfeel.

During brewing, the ripe peaches were turned into juice with a mixer and added to the process. The peach variety is Yumemizuki, a juicy, high-sugar cultivar from Yamanashi. The hop bill includes Citra Cryo, Mosaic Cryo, Sabro Cryo, and Simcoe. Rather than simply adding peach flavor, the beer is built to layer fruit aroma and hop character.

Hansharo Beer Brewing is based in Izunokuni, Shizuoka, and takes its identity from the Nirayama Reverberatory Furnace area. The brewery traces its origins to Kuraya Narusawa, which established the brand in 1997 after long involvement in local tourism, sake, tea fields, and tea houses. The release fits that background well: a seasonal beer built with a local fruit specialist and a strong regional story.

The beer is available in 10 L and 15 L kegs, as well as 350 ml cans.
