The weekend-only "Sekimachi Cellar Beer Car" arrives

Chofu PARCO will host the "Sekimachi Cellar Beer Car" in its outdoor event space for two days, Saturday, April 25, and Sunday, April 26. The vendor is Sekimachi Cellar, a liquor shop founded in 1916 in Sekimachi-Higashi, Nerima Ward, known for its standing-drink counter on the first floor and its second-floor terrace, where craft beer can also be enjoyed. This time, it will step outside the store and appear in beer-car format.

Offering 7 craft beers and craft sake

According to the official announcement, the offerings are "7 craft beers" and "craft sake." For the beer, brewery names such as Teenage Brewing and Nobody Brewing are explicitly listed, but the detailed lineup of labels has not been disclosed in the advance notice. The setup gives visitors the fun of choosing what to drink on site.

A selection style worthy of a long-established liquor shop is reflected in the event

Sekimachi Cellar is a specialty liquor store that handles a wide range of sake, shochu, wine, whiskey, and craft beer, and its strength lies in being able to recommend everything from an everyday drink to a gift. At the in-store standing-drink counter, visitors can mainly enjoy draft craft beer, and they can also take purchased drinks to the second-floor terrace. That "liquor-shop" sense of proximity is being brought over to this beer car as well.

The appeal is the wide range of ways to enjoy it

At the event venue, while centered on craft beer, food-related vendors and art events will be held at the same time. Even if you stop by just for the beer, the setup lets you enjoy food and culture together. It seems likely to be a chance to experience a carefully selected drink in the style of Sekimachi Cellar on a weekend in Chofu.
