A casual place to enjoy craft beer in Shimokitazawa

Beer Bar Festa (Festa) Shimokitazawa is sharing its tap lineup for 4/21 (Tue). The shop is located on the 5th floor of the Daishin Building, a 2-minute walk from the Central Exit of Shimokitazawa Station. As a beer pub where you can casually enjoy craft beer, it operates around draft beers that change daily.

Festa's defining features are 12 taps at all times and about 30 kinds of bottled beer. Designed to accommodate a wide range of styles, it serves everything from domestic and imported lagers, wheats, IPAs, stouts, sours, and fruit beers. The regular beer Heartland is also available, making it easy to start with a reliable first drink.

The food lineup is built with beer pairing in mind. House-made sausages, beef tendon stewed in beer, daily pasta, house-made pickles, and other snacks that become more appealing the more you drink are all available. Counter seats are suited for solo drinking, while table seating also works well for small groups. In addition, there are two Darts Live machines, which is part of what makes this place fun beyond just drinking.

Hours are Tuesday through Thursday from 18:00 to 1:00, Friday and Saturday from 18:00 to 4:00, and Sunday from 18:00 to 23:00. Since it stays open late, it seems well suited for a second stop after dinner in Shimokitazawa. Because the taps are rotated, this is a place where part of the appeal is discovering the beer of the day.
