On a notice for service starting at 5:00 p.m. on June 1, café&beer Aruka ➝ Aruka in Osaka's Namba Sennichimae unveiled a nine-tap lineup while keeping the shop's atmosphere of being able to “take a breather.” Built around local Osaka breweries, the selection makes it easy to choose according to mood, with differences in aroma, bitterness, and body to enjoy.

The taps currently on offer include the collaboration “13 Red Ale,” the herb-forward “Lavender&Chamomile,” the IPL “HiDE-Y$i Trigger the cuckoo protocol,” the yuzu-infused “HAZY IPA Yuzu,” the banana milk weizen “DonkeyMagic,” the classic “West Coast IPA,” the dark beer “STOUT,” and the staples “PUNK IPA” and “Heartland.” While many Osaka breweries are featured, Scottish PUNK IPA and Kirin Beer’s Heartland are also included, creating a balanced lineup with both local character and familiar favorites.

The food includes octopus cucumber sashimi, chicken tenderloin sticks, daikon and chikuwa kinpira, deep-fried tofu wrapped in meat, nasu kimchi, new potato gratin, savory pie with bacon and garland chrysanthemum, and pescatore, among others. The menu ranges from small plates that are easy to snack on between beers to more substantial dishes, making it a good choice for days when you want to settle in and drink slowly. Reservations are accepted via the web or by phone.
