Matsumoto Brewery will hold its 5th Brewery Festival on Sunday, May 10, 2026. The venue is Nozomi Brewery in Matsumoto City, and the event will run from 11:00 to 17:00. In the announcement, the brewery says the event is meant to be enjoyed throughout the day, with thanks to its regular drinkers as well as a welcome to people trying Matsumoto Brewery for the first time.

The main highlight this time is a limited-edition beer brewed especially for this day. Beer tickets are being sold in advance at the brewery's directly operated taprooms: Ekimae, Nakamachi, and Honmachi. On the day, drinks will be available at S (300 ml) for 700 yen, M (420 ml) for 1,000 yen, and L (700 ml) for 1,500 yen.

Food booths are expected to include takoyaki, sanzokuyaki, Shinshu premium beef burgers, crepes and sweets, wagyu yakiniku, horumon yakisoba, and Matsubu Pizza. In addition, there will be a festival game corner for children and a big rock-paper-scissors tournament after 3:30 p.m.

Brewery tours will cost 1,000 yen per person and include a souvenir beer. Participation will be limited to small groups on a first-come, first-served basis after the venue opens, with three sessions in total and about 25 people per session. The tours are positioned as a chance to see the everyday brewing workspace with a brewer as a guide.

Matsumoto Brewery is a craft brewery based in Matsumoto City, Nagano Prefecture. On its official website, it promotes the philosophy of "bringing energy and happiness to you, to the town, and to ourselves with delicious beer", and continues making beer while valuing its connection with the local community. The city has several directly operated taprooms, and this brewery festival also seems likely to be received as a very "Matsumoto" kind of day, extending that spirit further.
