Kotokoto Beer Releases Three Spring-Only Fruit Beers at Once, Sales to Roll Out Starting March 14
Kyoto craft brewery Kotokoto Beer announced that it will simultaneously release three fruit beers as limited-edition products. Brewery direct sales are scheduled to begin on Saturday, March 14, and online sales on Monday, March 16. The lineup will be sold in limited quantities, including popular labels.
On March 11, 2026, Kotokoto Beer announced limited-edition release information on Instagram. This time’s theme is "Simultaneous Release of Three Fruits." Featuring three different styles - Weizen, Stout, and IPA - the lineup is designed so drinkers can compare the character of each fruit.
The Three Limited Releases Announced This Time
- Fig Weizen
A perennial favorite limited release. A bottle finished on a Weizen base using figs from Nara.
- Jorin-chan Fig Stout
A revival of last year’s release. Made with figs from Morinishi Farm in Joyo, Kyoto, and built on a stout base.
- Grape IPA
An IPA made with wine grapes from Nara Prefecture, the kind used at a winery in Nara. The label is the third design in the "Nara Fruits" series.
Sales Schedule
- Brewery direct sales: from Saturday, March 14
- Online: from Monday, March 16
- Retailers: arriving sequentially
The online shop is also expected to offer shipping-included items under the name "Kotokoto Spring Fruit Festival." Because this is a limited-quantity sale that includes new releases, it would be wise to secure some early if you spot it in stores or at events.
Based in Kyoto, Kotokoto Beer continues its seasonal projects that incorporate local agricultural products, and this release is once again strongly local in character, centered on fruits from Nara and Kyoto. For anyone who wants to compare the differences in beer styles and the expressions of fruit ingredients all at once, this is a highly noteworthy limited release.
