Kotokoto Beer, a craft brewery from Kizugawa City in southern Kyoto, has announced that it will participate in the “Dai Kyoto Noren-ichi” fair at Yamagataya in Kagoshima City. The event runs from Wednesday, September 30 through Tuesday, October 6, 2026, with the fair closing at 4 p.m. on its final day.
This will be Kotokoto Beer’s first appearance at Yamagataya. Visitors will be able to purchase bottles from the brewery’s regular range as well as limited-edition releases. The fair brings together Kyoto foods and specialty products, giving visitors in Kagoshima an opportunity to take home Kyoto-made craft beer alongside other regional goods.
Kotokoto Beer produces beers inspired by local ingredients and Kyoto’s food culture. Its standard lineup includes GO! GO! Weizen, designed to pair well with Japanese cuisine; a crisp Pilsner; the hop-forward “Overwhelming Hop! IPA”; and “Shikkoku Stout,” which won gold in the Porter & Stout category at Beer-1 GP 2024.
The brewery’s limited releases also highlight ingredients from the region. Examples include KYOTO ICHIGO ALE, made with strawberries from Yawata in Kyoto; “Grape IPA,” brewed with wine grapes from Nara; and “Golden Sesame Stout,” which uses high-quality sesame associated with Kyoto.
