Three days of craft beer in Hama-Otsu

Kotokoto Beer has announced its participation in Otsu Craft Beer Land, held at Nagisa Park in Hama-Otsu, Otsu, Shiga. The event runs from October 10 through October 12, 2026, with serving hours scheduled from noon to 7 p.m. each day.

One highlight from the brewery will be its Fig Weizen, reserved specifically for the event and available from a single limited keg. According to the brewery, this keg is expected to be the last one, so the beer will be served only while supplies last. Its fruit character and soft Weizen profile make it a particularly appealing pour for beer fans looking for something beyond standard festival offerings.

Kotokoto Beer also plans to unveil another special beer at the event, although details have not yet been disclosed.

Beer, Otsu Festival, and Lake Biwa

The brewery says visitors may be able to hear the sounds of the Otsu Festival from the venue, with festival attractions accessible on foot. Guests can enjoy craft beer alongside the atmosphere of Hama-Otsu and views around Lake Biwa.

Based in Kizugawa, Kyoto, Kotokoto Beer produces a broad range of styles, including stout, Weizen, pilsner, and IPA. Its Black Stout received a gold award at Beer-1GP 2024, while the brewery also develops limited beers featuring regional ingredients. The Fig Weizen offers another chance to experience that ingredient-focused approach.

Because the featured beer is limited to one keg, visitors hoping to try it should consider arriving early. Check Kotokoto Beer’s official social media channels for the latest event and serving information.
