Kuramoto Ryori Tensei is a beer pub created by renovating a Taisho-era sake brewery on the grounds of Kumazawa Brewing. Its appeal lies in a calm space where you can enjoy brewery cuisine, made with a focus on rice, water, fish, and vegetables, alongside drinks made by the brewers themselves.

On Saturday, April 11, and Sunday, April 12, 2026, the site-wide "Sake Brewery Fest 2026" will be held, and regular business will be suspended. At the venue, the restaurants on the grounds, including Tensei, will each offer different food and drinks as part of a ticket-based event, making it possible to enjoy Kumazawa Brewing's world across a spring weekend.

A highlight for beer lovers is Kumazawa Brewing's in-house beer, Shonan Beer. On its official site, it also introduces "Sake Lees Hazy IPA" as a beer story, which shows that the company, while being a sake brewery, is also putting real effort into craft beer. Pairing Tensei's kaiseki-style dishes with a house brand beer like Shonan Beer would naturally create a drinking experience that could only happen at a brewery.

The shop's sign is the sugidama, and the whole atmosphere of the grounds makes the experience of "eating at the brewery" itself appealing. On Friday, April 10, it will be closed for dinner only, and on April 11 and 12 it will be closed for regular service because of the event, so anyone planning a visit should check the dates. If you're heading to Chigasaki for the beer, Kumazawa Brewing's spring feast is one you won't want to miss.
