7th Anniversary Event on June 20

Tamsan, a beer pub in Tomigaya, Tokyo, will host its 7th anniversary event on Saturday, June 20. In the post, the venue says its first service day was June 19, 2019, and notes that the anniversary celebration, which used to be held in July or August, is being moved to June this year to avoid the summer heat. The timing should make it easier to enjoy the anniversary beer before midsummer arrives.

The Anniversary Beer: "Jet"

The featured beer is "Jet," brewed in collaboration with YYG Brewing. It is a 5% Amasa Session IPA. The name comes from the Thai word for the number seven, "เจ็ด" (Jet), tying the beer directly to the 7th anniversary. According to the post, the recipe replaces the lime commonly used in Thai food and drinks with seasonal Amasa, then layers in lemongrass, kaffir lime leaf, a small amount of chili, and hops. The result is presented as a light, refreshing IPA that brings together Japanese and Thai flavors. It will be served both on tap and in cans.

Food Alongside the Beer

The event will also include Thai food from 11:00, plus three donuts from My Picnic Donut and a Red Velvet anniversary cake from Early Bird Morning Club. For a Tokyo neighborhood beer pub, the lineup suggests a day built around beer, food, and dessert rather than beer alone.
