News has arrived of a new tap from Minoh Beer at the beer pub "Nomimono-ya" in Fushozan-cho, Takamatsu City, Kagawa Prefecture. The beer making its debut this time is Nice Bitter. The style is Ordinary Bitter/Mild Ale, the alcohol content is 3.5%, and the IBU is 18.

In Minoh Beer's post, the beer is introduced as a glass that reexamines the design of malt, hops, and yeast while exploring the wide range of what a bitter can be, in search of "our best bitter." Rather than emphasizing flashiness, its flavor lands on what feels like a deep, gentle ale that quietly stays with you. It uses Sonnet hops, which are expected to contribute floral, herbal, and subtle citrus notes.

It has a slightly dark appearance and a mild mouthfeel. Drinkable, yet with neither the malt nor the hops taking over too much, its appeal lies in its excellent balance. This release was also designed with the image of drinking at a pub in mind, resulting in a bitter that seems well suited to being enjoyed slowly, little by little. It will be served in a tumbler rather than a tulip glass, and the size is listed as 300 ml and up, so it seems ideal for settling in and savoring it at a leisurely pace.

Scheduled serving dates are March 29, 14:00-18:00; March 31, 17:00-20:00; April 2, 17:00-20:00; April 9, 17:00-20:00; April 11, 14:00-18:00; April 12, 14:00-18:00; and April 14, 17:00-20:00. Nomimono-ya is a beer pub centered on craft beer, and part of its appeal is following the rotation of taps. For anyone in Fushozan-cho who wants to quietly enjoy Minoh Beer's new bitter, this is one to watch.
