Nomimonoya, a beer pub in Busshozan, Takamatsu, has added new guest beers from Tsugaru Brewing. The two beers now available are Tsugaru Lager and Tsugaru IPA, both built around ingredients and recipes that highlight Aomori character while staying approachable with food.

Tsugaru Lager is a rice lager with 5.0% ABV and 19 IBU. It uses Aomori-grown rice, Pilsner malt, and Hallertau Mittelfruh hops for a dry, clean finish. It works well as a first pint or as a beer to drink alongside a meal.

Tsugaru IPA sits at 6.0% ABV and 44 IBU. It combines Pilsner malt with wheat and is hopped with Warrior, Simcoe, Nelson Sauvin, Idaho 7, and Strata. The result is a beer that balances bright aroma with firm bitterness, while the added local rice keeps it from feeling too heavy.

Located in Busshozan, Nomimonoya is the kind of beer pub where drinkers can slow down and compare styles. This release makes for a straightforward tasting sequence: start with the lager, then move on to the IPA for more aroma and bitterness.
