Shinobazu Brewery Hitsuji Aisu Introduces New Double IPA Fortissimo
On its June 5 Instagram post, Tokyo's Shinobazu Brewery Hitsuji Aisu introduced a new beer called Fortissimo. The beer is a Double IPA at 7% ABV, with strong bitterness, a balanced body, and a hop-driven tropical-fruit aroma.
Tokyo's Shinobazu Brewery Hitsuji Aisu, a microbrewery in Ueno, Taito, is built around house-brewed beer and lamb dishes. Its official site says the brewery keeps four regular beers on tap along with seasonal house brews, centered on the flagship `Hitsuji Aisu` and the Hazy IPA `Shinobazu Yell Ale!`.
In an Instagram post on June 5, the brewery introduced a new beer called `Fortissimo`. The beer is a `Double IPA` with `ABV 7%`. According to the post, it features a very strong bitterness with a well-balanced body, plus a hop-driven aroma that evokes tropical fruit. The brewery also presents it as a recommendation for IPA fans.
The new beer fits the brewery's broader approach: a beer-focused spot in Ueno where the lineup is built around its own brewing program as much as its lamb kitchen. For drinkers looking for something more assertive than the regular pale ale or hazy IPA, Fortissimo adds a clear new option.
