Tap Information

At KARAKURI -Craft Beer & Oden & Sake- in Kanda-Kajicho, Chiyoda Ward, Tokyo, 'Biru Shiso Lemon Gose' has been tapped as a guest beer. On Wednesday, May 27, business hours are 17:00-23:00, with Food L.O. at 22:00 and Drink L.O. at 22:30.

This pour is a collaboration between Miyagi's Falò Brewing and Australia's Sailor's Grave Brewing. It was born from the connection with Sailor's Grave Brewing, where Falò Brewing's owner-brewer worked from 2022 to 2023, and is based on the German-origin gose style.

The recipe is shared between the Japan version and the Australia version: Falò Brewing uses Setouchi-grown lemon, while Sailor's Grave Brewing uses yuzu. Both breweries also add red shiso and sea salt, resulting in a finish that layers citrus freshness, shiso's floral aroma, and a subtle salty note. Its light, easy-drinking character makes it a good fit for the hotter season.

KARAKURI is a cozy beer pub that serves craft beer, sake, and natural wine, along with creative dishes centered on oden. It also has a bottle shop, and supports takeout of draft beer as well as bringing in your own growler. It is an easy place to spend time with food while keeping beer at the center.

If you want to drink gose in Kanda, this is one to remember.
