A new shipment from UCHU BREWING has appeared as guest beer at Sekimachi Cellar, the beer pub in Sekimachi-Higashi, Nerima Ward, Tokyo. This lineup consists of two barrel-aged beers. With high alcohol content and the complexity that only long aging can bring, this is the kind of release that beer lovers will want to pay attention to.

Beers Arriving

- Labyrinth 002 - Black Barley Wine - (UCHU BREWING)
ABV 13.0%. A blend of barrels aged for more than two years in Heaven Hill bourbon barrels and Jim Beam Double Oak bourbon barrels. Along with dark caramel, it layers in fruitiness reminiscent of plums and raisins, resulting in a dense dark beer.
- GENESIS 002 - Barrel-Aged Imperial Stout - (UCHU BREWING)
ABV 12.0%. Different stout base beers were blended after maturing for up to 32 months in rum barrels, Heaven Hill barrels, and Buffalo Trace barrels. Chocolate truffle and roasted, sweet-toasty notes are joined by barrel-derived depth.

Sekimachi Cellar is a beer pub whose appeal lies in its calm location near a residential neighborhood, making it a place where you can drink slowly and deliberately. These strong, aged beers are better suited not to lively, one-off drinking, but to sipping while following the aroma and aftertaste. They fit the atmosphere of the shop well, and seem like a good arrival for a drink after dinner or for a night when you want to compare beers at a relaxed pace.

With UCHU BREWING's cosmos-like naming and barrel-aged layers of flavor, this is something people looking for rich, dark beers in Sekimachi Cellar's guest lineup will want to check out.
