May 17 Service Information

Taki〜AKANE〜 Japanese Beer & Sake Dining will be open on Sunday, May 17, from 2:00 PM to 11:00 PM. Since it is a Sunday opening, it is easy to drop in from the afternoon, and for the first two hours after opening there will be 100 yen off as "Akane's Happy Time." It is a place in Dogenzaka, Shibuya where you can relax and enjoy craft beer and sake.

Tap List for the Day

There will be three draft beers on tap that day.

- Shonan Gold / Sanktgallen
- August White / August Beer
- Tambaji Brewery x VALLE SAGRADO 8th Anniversary Beer / Tambaji Brewery x VALLE SAGRADO

Shonan Gold is an easy-to-imagine beer with citrus aroma and a light mouthfeel that should pair well early in the meal. August White should offer the soft drinkability typical of a white ale, and the 8th Anniversary Beer, as a commemorative brew, looks like it will be a good benchmark for tasting side by side.

How to Enjoy It as a Meal Beer

In the post, salmon marinated in sake lees was introduced as the main dish for a late lunch. Considering the umami of sake lees and its compatibility with beer, it seems worth pairing with a white ale or a fruity beer. Other dishes such as black soybeans, smoked daikon pickle with sake lees cream cheese, spicy potato fries, and fried oysters are also on the menu, creating a lineup that makes it easy to center the meal around beer.

What the Shop Is Like

As its name suggests, Taki〜AKANE〜 Japanese Beer & Sake Dining is a beer pub centered on Japanese craft beer and sake. Even in Dogenzaka, its appeal lies in being able to carefully enjoy food-and-drink pairings. From weekend daytime drinking to an evening pint, it is the kind of place you will want to keep visiting while following the taps and the food offerings.
