The beer pub Mugibaru in Nishi-Kamata, Ota Ward, Tokyo, has released tap information that also includes advance notice of a menu change. In the post, the shop said it will temporarily take beef offal dishes off the menu, while planning to bring back lamb dishes and renew its cheese-based offerings.

On the beer side, the first thing that stands out is the shop-named "Mugibaru 2nd Anniversary Kinako-Colored Fluffy Hazy." It is a hazy IPA from Tokaido Beer, with an ABV of 6%. As a beer commemorating the anniversary, it feels like a lineup that reflects Mugibaru’s current identity as it is.

The current lineup also includes VERTERE’s "Efrencia" (IPA, 6%), DD4D’s "Marmalade Man" (Citrus Hazy IPA, 6.5%), Isekadoya Beer Brewery’s "Sabro's IPA" (American IPA, 6%), and Asahi’s "Jukusen" (Pilsner, 5.5%). The mix of a bold, craft-leaning selection and a standard lager side by side feels very Mugibaru.

As NEXT, Uchu Brewing’s "GOLEM" (DDH West Coast IPA, 6.5%), Yellow Beer Works’ "Juicy pop" (Hazy IPA, 6%), and Librew’s "FLASH HOP IPA" (American IPA, 7.9%) are also on deck, and it looks like IPA fans will have more to watch for for a while yet.

In the streets of Kamata, the shop is gradually reshaping its food direction while keeping beer at the center. The announcement makes that change visible, and even with the dog-friendly tag included, it comes across as a down-to-earth beer pub for everyday use.
