Two new taps in Makuhari
On October 6, 2026, WORLD BEER&DINING MIHAMA BASE added two beers to its Makuhari tap list: FARMENTRY 2nd Anniversary IPA and Pizza Port Swami’s IPA. The pairing brings together a commemorative Japanese release and a classic American IPA.
FARMENTRY 2nd Anniversary IPA is a DDH Hazy DIPA from Nara-based FARMENTRY. At 8.0% ABV, it uses generous amounts of wheat and oats for a soft, smooth texture. Aromas of guava, ripe tropical fruit, and stone fruit give the beer a dense, juicy character suited to the brewery’s second anniversary.
Pizza Port Swami’s IPA is a 6.8% ABV, 72 IBU West Coast IPA from California. It combines bright citrus hop aromas with a subtle biscuit-like malt sweetness. The finish is dry and refreshing, offering a firmly bitter yet highly drinkable expression of the classic West Coast style.
A broad tap selection
The day’s other draft options included KIRIN HEARTLAND, Fuller’s London Pride, Night Shift Whirlpool, Coronado Hazy Weekend, 8 bit×Harland The Hop Exchange, and Sloop Juice Bomb Hazy IPA. Guests could choose from crisp lager and bitter ale styles to hazy and hop-forward IPAs.
Located in Takasu, Mihama Ward, Chiba, MIHAMA BASE is a brewery and craft-beer dining spot serving a wide range of beers alongside food. A joint MIHAMA BBQ event at the two locations was also scheduled for October 12. Tap availability and opening hours may change, so checking with the venue before visiting is recommended.
