Yokohama Bay Brewing Yokohama Front Shop Brings Back Ganmodoki for May 28 Daily Special
Yokohama Bay Brewing Yokohama Front Shop announced its May 28 daily menu. “Ganmodoki with bamboo shoots and ginger ankake” returns, and long yam pickled with wasabi is also on offer. The lineup ranges widely from house-brewed staples to guest beers.
At Yokohama Bay Brewing Yokohama Front Shop (2F, THE YOKOHAMA FRONT, Kanagawa Ward, Yokohama City, Kanagawa Prefecture), the daily special for May 28 will be “Ganmodoki with bamboo shoots and ginger ankake.” It is a dish of homemade ganmodoki made from cotton tofu, fried until crisp and finished with a thick sauce, and the post says it is returning due to popular demand.
“Long yam pickled with wasabi” is also on the menu. With its crunchy texture and the aroma of wasabi, it is introduced as a light snack that pairs easily with beer. Fitting for a beer pub in the station-front area, the setup makes it easy to keep drinking alongside a meal.
On tap that day are Yokohama Bay Brewing staples Bay Pilsner, Bay Weisse, Bay Dark, Yuzu Weisse, Sprint IPA, Flatland, Freestyle, Freedom, Sara, and Steel Soul Fixie. Also available are Yokohama Beer’s Super Sonic Speed Sour, Nara Brewing’s Charm, Craft Rock Brewing’s Welcome to Paradise and Drink All Day, GRANDLINE BREWING’s Trial Brew, Baeren Beer’s Onmenbroi, Peroni, Pilsner Urquell, and Asahi Jukusen.
The lineup, which mixes house brews and guest beers, spans lagers, weizens, IPAs, and sours, making it a good fit for people who want to compare drinks alongside a meal. The shop is also promoting tickets for its 15th anniversary big thank-you festival on Saturday, August 8, and staff can be asked about them in the store.
