Marumugi, a small beer pub in Arakicho, Shinjuku, posted its craft beer lineup for June 3. The standard pricing is JPY 1,200+ for a large glass and JPY 900+ for a small glass, with an additional JPY 100 on some selections.

Five draft beers were listed for the day. "Hon Nama" by Repubrew (Shizuoka, 5.5%) is presented as the first pint to start with. "Suruga Bay Imperial IPA" by Baird Brewing (Shizuoka, 8.5%, +JPY 100) is the hop-forward choice for drinkers who want a stronger bitterness. "Grapefruit Sour" by Minoh Beer (Osaka, 4.5%, +JPY 100) is described as a fruit sour ale made with plenty of grapefruit juice, emphasizing juicy fruit character and bright acidity. "Mayo ttara Kono Pale!" by Ushi Tora Brewery (Tochigi, 5.0%, +JPY 100) is an American Pale Ale with soft aromas reminiscent of orange and apricot, plus a gentle bitterness. "Kyara" by COEDO (Saitama, 5.5%) rounds out the list as an aromatic, malt-driven lager.

Marumugi has operated in Arakicho since January 2011 and is located about a three-minute walk from Yotsuya-sanchome Station. The shop also noted that Tuesdays and national holidays are regular closing days from December 5, 2024 onward. In addition, it will be closed on June 7 and 8, 2026, and will resume normal service on June 10 after the June 9 regular closure.

The lineup is well balanced: a clean lager to open, a grapefruit sour for something bright and refreshing, an imperial IPA for bitterness, a pale ale for easy drinking, and a classic lager with depth. It is the kind of tap list that gives regulars and first-time visitors several clear directions to choose from.
