New Release: "Obsidian Tower"

Uchu Brewing, based in Hokuto, Yamanashi Prefecture, has released a new beer called "Obsidian Tower." This beer is a QDH TIPA with an alcohol content of 9%. It uses Citra, Motueka, Nelson Sauvin CGX, Riwaka, and Cryo Motueka as its hops.

The brewer's notes describe it as a beer made with plenty of oats, malt, and hops, designed to create a thick, substantial mouthfeel. The aroma is marked by citrus, mango, and apricot. It is clearly built in the dense, juicy style that defines Uchu Brewing.

The concept is also very much in the brewery's signature style, with a striking story-like presentation. An obsidian tower rises in a mist-filled desert of the cosmos, depicted as a sanctuary that only those who look inward can climb. It is a worldview in which those who face the darkness and find the light become cosmic MASTERs.

Uchu Brewing, based in Hokuto, Yamanashi, has been releasing distinctive beers themed around space and nature. Its hallmarks are bold concepts and recipes built through meticulous hop combinations, and this "Obsidian Tower" is another beer in that same line.

How have they brought together the thickness characteristic of a QDH TIPA and the layered fruitiness created by multiple hops? Even from the release information, it is clear this is a beer aimed at balancing drinkability with aroma.
