Today's lineup
Marumugi is a small beer pub on the second floor of the Ichibankan Building in Arakicho, Shinjuku. The bar opened on January 15, 2011 and is about a three-minute walk from Yotsuya-Sanchome Station. For July 6, the house price is listed at large 1,200 yen +α / small 900 yen +α, with five distinct beers available.
- Session IPA / HOPDOG BREWING (Akita)
ABV 3.5%, +100 yen. Citrus and tropical-fruit-like hop aroma with a crisp bitterness. Despite the low alcohol content, the hop presence is clearly expressed.
- Yuyake no IPA / FOREST BREWING (Miyagi)
ABV 6.0%, +100 yen. A full-bodied IPA built around deep bitterness and citrus notes.
- Seya no Komugi Beer / Yokohama Beer (Kanagawa)
ABV 5.5%, +100 yen. A gentle ale with the aroma of wheat grown in Yokohama.
- Hyakki no Kuro / Notori Brewing (Saitama)
ABV 4.0%, +100 yen. A summer black beer with a coffee-like aroma.
- Amber Swan Ale / Swan Lake Beer (Niigata)
ABV 5.5%, +100 yen. A rich amber ale where toasted malt character and hops come together.
The lineup moves from a light session IPA to a bitter IPA, a soft wheat ale, a coffee-scented dark beer, and a malt-forward amber ale. It is the kind of selection that works well for a tasting flight or for settling in with a single pint. Marumugi also notes that it has been closed on Tuesdays and public holidays since December 5, 2024.
