A Karuizawa brewery with a taproom
Quartet Brewing is a craft beer brewery and taproom on Karuizawa Main Street in Nagano. Its official site says the taproom is about a 10-minute walk from Karuizawa Station and pours roughly 10 beers brewed on site, alongside cans and bottles. The brewery also sells kegs to restaurants.
Background
Founded in 2020, Quartet Brewing was built around the idea of balancing malt, hops, yeast, and water. That approach shows up in its lineup, which ranges from wheat ale and IPA to brown ale, stout, and elderflower ale. Bringing a few of those beers to Komae gives Tokyo drinkers a chance to meet a Karuizawa brewery outside its home base.
