Black Fox Beer event at MoyaMoya Base on June 20 to debut Cacao Porter in Sapporo
MoyaMoya Base, a beer pub in central Sapporo, will host a Black Fox Beer event on June 20. The highlight is the Sapporo debut of Cacao Porter from the brewery's The Dark Era series, with a small selection of CACAO CROWN sweets available as well.
MoyaMoya Base, a beer pub in Sapporo's Chuo Ward on Minami 2-jo Higashi 1-chome, will host a Black Fox Beer event on Saturday, June 20. The bar focuses on domestic craft beer, with light snacks and soft drinks, and often opens from 2 p.m., making it a relaxed stop for daytime drinking.
The headline pour is Cacao Porter, the first release in Black Fox Beer's comeback season and part of its The Dark Era series. The beer is set for its Sapporo debut at the event. At 6.0% ABV and 15 IBU, the porter is a collaboration with CACAO CROWN, a popular chocolate shop in Niseko. It uses cacao husks from the chocolate-making process and is described as a beer with roasted aromas and a long cacao finish.
CACAO CROWN products will also be sold in limited quantities, keeping the lineup focused on beer-and-sweets pairing. The event is not a full Black Fox Beer tap takeover, but the bar plans to pour Cacao Porter along with two Black Fox beers and two beers from Niseko. Black Fox Beer's Nagashima is also expected to attend, giving fans a chance to drink and talk with the brewer in person.
