Shinkichi Brewery Opens Braggot “Yasashii Akuma,” Fifth Release Using Fujiminori Grapes
Brewpub Shinkichi Brewery in Takasaki, Gunma, introduced its new braggot, “Yasashii Akuma,” on Instagram. Made with Fujiminori grapes from Fujioka, this 7% ABV beer is characterized by a sweet-tart, smooth drinking profile.
In an Instagram post, Shinkichi Brewery announced its new beer, “Yasashii Akuma.” This beer is the fifth release in its braggot (honey beer) series and has an ABV of 7%. Brewed with Fujiminori grapes from Fujioka, it is designed to combine fruity nuances with the gentle softness that comes from honey.
The post also shows that this beer follows the series that has included “Hidamari Sunshine,” “Koremata Summer Orange,” “Yayoi Berry,” and “Ike I Umeko.” Rather than treating it as a one-off limited item, it may be easier to see it as another step in the braggot lineup the brewery has built up over time.
The flavor is described as “sweet-tart and smooth.” It is also said to be enjoyable for several days after opening, so it sounds appealing to sip it gradually while watching how it changes. Part of the fun may be following the aroma as it rises in the glass and the way the sweetness and acidity settle over time.
Shinkichi Brewery is a brewpub in Wakamatsu-cho, Takasaki, Gunma. One of its attractions is that you can enjoy house-brewed beer on site, and the post also lists business hours. Saturdays are 4:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., Sundays 1:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., and holidays 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. in principle.
