A guest pour from Miyagi

Beer pub taki on the 3rd floor of the Johnson Building in Sakuragaoka, Shibuya, has tapped Shiokaze Lager from ISHINOMAKI HOP WORKS. The post notes that the beer went on at 4:00 p.m. on August 11, adding a new guest option to the bar's taps.

Shiokaze Lager is described as a limited-batch Helles-style lager made only with the brewery's own Centennial hops grown in the sea breeze and IBUKI hops from Tohoku. It comes in at 5.0% ABV and 25 IBU. The profile is built around a soft malt sweetness and a clean, refreshing hop bitterness, making it sound like a lager focused on balance and clarity rather than loud aromatics.

That day's tap list also included Hassaku Ale from Shima Brewery and Indian Summer Saison from Shiga Kogen Beer. With a fruity ale, a characterful saison, and a crisp lager side by side, the lineup offers a straightforward beer-flight kind of comparison. taki's posted hours are 5:00 p.m. to midnight on weekdays and 4:00 p.m. to midnight on weekends and holidays, with last orders at 11:00 p.m. for food and 11:30 p.m. for drinks.
