Kaneku Brewery, based in Nangō, Hachinohe City, Aomori, has built its lineup around beer that reflects local ingredients and place-based character. The latest restock is the bottle version of Shimokita Hop Pilsner.

According to the brewery's Instagram post, the beer is brewed with 100% fresh hops from Sai Village in Shimokita, harvested in 2025. The hop varieties listed are Cascade, Chinook, and Nugget, and the beer is 5.0% ABV. The brewery describes it as a pilsner with a clean finish and firm drinkability, layered with fresh, gentle hop aroma from the fresh hops.

The post says the beer will be re-released in a limited run of 600 bottles, about three years after the previous bottle release. Sales begin on July 24, 2026, with allocations of 120 bottles for the business EC store and 48 bottles for the consumer EC store. For fans who have known the beer mainly in draft form, the bottle return gives the beer a new way to reach shelves and tables.

This release also highlights the brewery's regional perspective: a Hachinohe brewery working with hops from Shimokita, bringing local agricultural flavor into a classic pilsner format.
