This Week at HAKOFUNE
At Camado Brewery HAKOFUNE, the brewpub in Mizunami, Gifu Prefecture, this week’s tap list has been updated. The lineup features six kegs: SAKURA BRUT IPA, Shimakama Pale Ale, Shukuen III Fake Lager, Super SMaSH IPA SIMCOE, Kasagi Yuzu Haze, and Kinka no Itadaki Strong Ale. With Japanese seasonal motifs such as cherry blossoms, yuzu, and pine, the selection has a distinctly seasonal feel.
Among them, SAKURA BRUT IPA is said to be running low. If you want to enjoy its spring-like aroma, it would be wise to check it out soon. After Shimakama Pale Ale runs out, Bon Voyage Bonsai Pale Ale is planned to take its place, so attention is also being paid to how the pale ales will flow one into the next. Kasagi Yuzu Haze is a hazy IPA made with locally grown yuzu, while Kinka no Itadaki Strong Ale is a 13.0% strong ale, offering everything from a light, easy-drinking pour to something with real heft.
Inside the shop, Kamado Pan, which opened last week, is also in operation. The bakery opens at 9:00, and HAKOFUNE opens at 12:00. Outdoor seating is available, so you can enjoy freshly baked bread right away, which is very much in keeping with the shop’s style of pairing it with beer.
In addition, the first Beer Run is scheduled for Saturday, April 4, at 11:00. This week, they are welcoming guests with a staff made up 100% of women, so it looks like you’ll be able to compare Camado Brewery’s taps at a leisurely pace in an even more relaxed atmosphere than usual.
