Minami Aizu Mountain Brewing introduced the release of its new beer, “100,” on Instagram. The commemorative beer brewed for the 100th batch milestone is a Scotch Ale / 100/- (100 Shilling). With an ABV of 10.0%, it is designed to keep hop aroma restrained and bring out the rich aroma of malt.

According to the post, it has a deep brown appearance. The flavor is built around a dense caramel character, aromas reminiscent of dried fruit, and the toasty fragrance derived from malt, aiming for a dry finish that does not lean only toward heaviness. It seems like a beer that pairs well not only with dessert but also with meat dishes, and one that reveals different expressions as you sip it slowly.

Available sizes are 15.5L, 10.2L, and 350ml. For those who want to take their time appreciating this milestone beer born in the land of Minami Aizu, this is a noteworthy release.
