Tsukioka Brewery to Hold 6th Anniversary Festival from October 9
Tsukioka Brewery in Shibata, Niigata, will hold its 6th Anniversary Festival from October 9 to 18, 2026. The event will feature a new almond milk porter, limited food-and-beer sets, and a vote to decide next year’s anniversary beer.
Tsukioka Brewery, located in the Tsukioka Onsen area of Shibata, Niigata, will hold the “TSUKIOKA BREWERY 6th Anniversary Festival” from Friday, October 9 through Sunday, October 18, 2026. The venue is TSUKIOKA BREWERY & KITCHEN GEPPO at 552-111 Tsukioka Onsen, Shibata.
A new anniversary porter
The festival’s commemorative beer is “Tsukioka Almond Milk,” a new limited brew. The brewery says it uses milk produced in Shibata and is made as a porter, with almond aromas and a smooth, milky character. It will be released on October 9 and priced at ¥880, tax included.
Its combination of roasted malt, nutty almond notes, and soft dairy richness offers a seasonal alternative to lighter beers, especially after a walk through the hot spring town. As a limited brew, availability may be limited.
Limited food-and-beer sets
Two special sets will be available throughout the festival. The “Hash Brown Potato & Onion Rings with Craft Beer” set pairs crispy hash browns and beer-battered onion rings with one beer selected from four standard beers or the anniversary brew. The price is ¥1,480, tax included.
The second set features three original sausages and one beer selected from five available beers. It is also priced at ¥1,480. Both sets will be served from October 9 through October 18.
Visitors choose next year’s anniversary beer
The brewery will also hold a “Favorite Beer and Anniversary Beer Election.” Responses from visitors will help determine the 2027 anniversary beer. Everyone who completes the survey will receive a sticker, and a lottery will award a three-bottle craft beer set.
Tsukioka Brewery brews in Tsukioka Onsen, one of Niigata’s best-known hot spring destinations. Located just steps from a foot bath, the brewery is known for beers designed to be enjoyed after a bath, as well as creations incorporating local ingredients and regional character. The 6th Anniversary Festival offers a chance to explore that connection through a new dark beer, food pairings, and direct participation in the brewery’s future.
