Mugishu Yumeyomi in Kyoto to serve chicken & chips and four draft beers on Aug. 21
Kyoto beer pub Mugishu Yumeyomi announced its Friday, Aug. 21 service from 7:00 p.m. to 11:30 p.m. Chicken & chips will be served alongside four drafts, including OHLOY's LUNA and WOODMILL's Hassaku White.
Mugishu Yumeyomi, a beer pub on the second floor of the Shima-ya Building in Kyoto's Shijo-Daigoji area, announced its plan for Friday, Aug. 21. Service runs from 7:00 p.m. to 11:30 p.m., with food last call at 9:30 p.m. The bar welcomes solo drinkers and does not take large groups. Chicken & chips are on the menu, keeping the focus firmly on beer.
The draft lineup for the day features four beers. `LUNA` from OHLOY is described as a daily, traditional dark lager and is nearing the end of service. `Hassaku White` from WOODMILL pairs bright citrus character with a light white-beer profile. `RIVER` from Brasserie Knot is a dry saison suited to summer drinking, with a clean fruity aroma. `Ramen Bräu` from Baeren x HIGHBURY uses a portion of rauch malt in the grist, giving it a smoky edge.
Mugishu Yumeyomi is the kind of place where you can sit back in the heart of Gion and compare very different taps in one evening. With freshly fried chicken & chips and a lineup ranging from dark lager to white beer, saison, and smoked-malt lager, it offers an easy way to build a night around beer rather than around a menu.
