The brewpub Minami-Aizu Mountain Brewing / Taproom BeerFridge in Aizutajima, Minamiaizu Town, will hold "MOUNTAIN BEER WEEKEND" from May 2 to May 5.

In this announcement, the brewery shared that it marked its 2nd anniversary on March 27, and that on that anniversary date it brewed its 108th batch of beer. The brewing recipe was created by the brewery's "BIG BOSS," Mr. Sekine. Last year, the beer was said to be an homage to a brewery they deeply respect, and this year's release is being kept a secret until it is announced.

On the day of the event, they plan to serve several beers available only on site. While waiting for the new brew tied to the anniversary milestone, visitors can enjoy glasses that can only be found in the taproom, which is one of the main highlights of the event.

9 food vendors, 3 workshops, and 2 POP UP shops are scheduled to participate, making this an event that is not just about beer. It is structured so that drinkers, eaters, and people who want to experience something hands-on can all easily join in.

BeerFridge is a taproom where you can taste Minami-Aizu Mountain Brewing's beers on the spot. Its appeal lies in being able to drink while feeling the local atmosphere of the mountain area and the closeness of the brewers. As a package that lets visitors enjoy both a brew tied to the anniversary milestone and the event spread across four Golden Week days, this is a must-see for anyone following the beer scene in Minamiaizu.
