Chuo Line Beer Works Newly Taps Y.MARKET’s "Minamichita Bergamot IPA"
In a post at 21:00 on March 2, 2026, Chuo Line Beer Works introduced "Minamichita Bergamot IPA" from Nagoya’s Y.MARKET BREWING as a new guest beer tapped since March 1. Its features are the refreshing aroma derived from bergamot and a design that makes it easy to pair with food.
Chuo Line Beer Works (Tokyo) announced on Instagram that Y.MARKET BREWING’s "Minamichita Bergamot IPA" had joined its guest taps. According to the post, the style is Fruits American IPA, with specs of ABV 5.5% / IBU 26.77.
The description says this beer uses bergamot from Minamichita (Manshu Fruits), and its highlights are a clean, refreshing aroma reminiscent of bergamot and lemon tea, plus a herbal, floral citrus character like Earl Grey tea. It is meant not only to be enjoyed for its aroma on its own, but also to work well as a food-pairing beer, suggesting a lighter drinking profile within the IPA category.
The same post also announced the taproom’s planned business hours. March 5 and 6 were listed as 17:00 to 21:00, and March 7 and 8 as 13:00 to 21:00 (last order at 20:30 in all cases), creating a setup that made it easy to try the guest beer over the weekend.
Chuo Line Beer Works is a brewery whose activity is rooted in hop cultivation by people living along the Chuo Line and station staff. Its official information prominently features the idea of "beer that started at the station, building bridges to the city," and it continues to connect the local community with craft beer from its base in Koganei, Tokyo. Guest taps like this one from another region are also worth noting as projects that let people experience that "connection-making along the rail line."
