Last Month’s Topic

Beer to Sheep, the craft beer and jingisukan specialty shop in Osaka’s Kitashinchi, has been highlighting its original in-house brewed beer, Osaka Beer. The beer featured in last month’s post was the Juicy IPA “Shiran kedo.” With a fruity profile made with plenty of hops, the official information lists it at ABV 5.0% and IBU 30.

This beer also won the Grand Prix at the 96th Japan Food Selection in February 2026, and it clearly shows the strength of the shop’s “brewery-run” identity. As a beer pub, Beer to Sheep puts the pairing of lamb dishes and craft beer front and center, while offering eight different Osaka Beer varieties brewed on-site.

Beers Available

The shop’s official page lists unfiltered, unheated Osaka Beer options, including staples such as “OSAKA BEER Original” and “K.I.X.” Since the lineup changes from day to day, the surest approach is to ask the staff when you visit.

With a lineup built around juicy IPAs like “Shiran kedo.” and also including pilsners, amber ales, and Belgian whites, there is plenty here to please beer fans. It seems equally well suited either to sitting at the counter and trying one glass at a time, or to enjoying a table meal with lamb dishes while working through multiple pours.

What Makes the Shop Special

Beer to Sheep is a beer pub specializing in craft beer and jingisukan, and its calm location in the Kitashinchi area adds to the appeal. Its biggest feature is the chance to enjoy freshly brewed beer made on-site together with lamb dishes. For anyone looking for a meal where beer takes center stage, this is a place worth remembering.
