Kakuuchi Asakura to Set Up at Nishijin Fes Spring Marche with 5 Draft Beers
Kakuuchi Asakura, a standing-bar style spot in Kyoto’s Nishijin area, will open a booth at the Nishijin Fes Spring Marche, held on Saturday, May 23 and Sunday, May 24, 2026. Its official Instagram has previewed a lineup of draft craft beer and sake, with the booth appearing only on Saturday, the 23rd.
The beer pub Kakuuchi Asakura, located in Kyoto’s Kamigyo Ward, will take part in the Nishijin Fes Spring Marche, held on Saturday, May 23 and Sunday, May 24, 2026 at Community Bank Kyoto Shinkin Nishijin Branch. According to an Instagram post, Kakuuchi Asakura will appear only on Saturday, the 23rd, and visitors will be able to enjoy draft craft beer and sake on the day of the event.
The shop is a beer pub in a kakauchi style, renovated from a machiya townhouse in Nishijin. It is known as a place where people can casually enjoy craft beer and sake while standing, and the post also indicates that it will bring along a selection of "5 taps of draft beer and 10 kinds of sake." The booth will bring the shop’s liquor-store-like lineup directly to the event venue.
The craft beers listed in the post were Bighand Bros. Beer’s kurgantaite English Pale Ale, WOODMIL BREWERY KYOTO’s Rose Ale, CRAFT BEER BASE’s Hop Schema059 Anchoby, Hoppu Kokan Jozo’s Seiran COLD IPA, and Minoh Beer’s Session Black IPA. With styles ranging from pale ale and rose ale to COLD IPA and black IPA, the lineup should make it easy to enjoy a tasting comparison from lighter beers to hop-forward ones.
The Nishijin Fes Spring Marche is an event that brings together local food and beverage businesses as well as makers, and visitors can also enjoy food walks and hands-on activities at the venue. Paired with a stroll through Nishijin, this looks like a good opportunity to try the beers selected by Kakuuchi Asakura.
