Four beers from NOVORU Brewing have arrived at the beer pub BeerO’clock Bottle Shop in Chuo Ward, Chiba City. As a bottle shop, one of its attractions is that you can take beers home, of course, but also drink them inside the shop, and this lineup spans a wide range of styles, making it ideal for tasting side by side.
Four newly arrived beers
- Musubu (Belgian Blonde / 4.5%)
A beer made with the saison-type house yeast "Napoleon yeast" and also incorporating German Wet Hop. Bright esters, a dry finish, and the fresh, green aroma of fresh hops overlap here.
- Novoru (Session IPA / 4.5%)
NOVORU Brewing's flagship. A standard beer that emphasizes a balance of hop aroma, pleasant bitterness, and a light, easy-drinking finish.
- Warau (West Coast India Pale Ale / 7.0%)
A WCIPA said to have returned after about a year. In addition to Citra and Mosaic, it also uses Nelson Sauvin and Motueka, bringing together citrus and tropical-fruit aromas, a clear body, and sharp bitterness.
- Haziku (DDH Hazy India Pale Ale / 6.5%)
A juicy, lively Hazy IPA with prominent impressions of pineapple, white grape, and lime. The combination of Citra, Mosaic, Nelson Sauvin, and Motueka supports its fruit character.
BeerO’clock Bottle Shop is a reliable place to look for craft beer in the Chiba Station area. This time, the selection ranges from classic Belgian styles to West Coast IPA and Hazy IPA, so it works both for people who already know exactly what they like and for those who want to carefully compare the differences between styles. In particular, "Warau" and "Haziku" make the hop character especially clear, and tasting them side by side makes the brewery's approach easy to see.
If you spot them in the shop, it might be nice to start with the lighter "Novoru," then move on to the Belgian "Musubu," the bitterness-forward "Warau," and the aroma-rich "Haziku."
